Nothing good’s been on tv since 1952. When I go through the motions of explaining why, news breaks out on our feeds. Who knew a flood of outrage could still divide people into twos and twos and twos. The last feathery friend died out, a mewling housecat with no sense of migration. Then a plane explodes, somewhere over the Adriatic. Then they tell us there are microplastics in baby formula. I used to worry about things like that–boredom, delirium–what I could do…
